Respirator Mask Fit Test

OSHA-compliant respirator fit testing made easy. We provide Qualitative Fit Testing for N95 and full/half-face masks at our Training Center or onsite for individuals and groups. Medical clearance is included for a seamless experience.

How to Complete Your Fit Test:

  1. Fit Test Using Saccharin or Bitrex:

    • We use either a sweet (Saccharin) or bitter (Bitrex) solution to test for leaks. You’ll know your mask fits if you don’t detect the taste.

  2. Preparation Instructions:

    • NO chewing gum or eating 15 minutes before your test.

  3. Bring Your Own NIOSH Mask:

    • You must bring the exact make, model, and size of your mask. Limited sizes are available at our office.

  4. Complete OSHA Medical Questionnaire🩺

Important Policies:

  • Facial Hair & Makeup: Masks cannot seal properly over facial hair or makeup. If you arrive with facial hair or heavy makeup that affects the seal, we cannot proceed with the fit test.

  • Physical Requirements: You must be able to move your head in various directions, bend at the hip, and wear a tight-fitting mask.

No Refund / No Show Policy / Mask & Facial Hair Acknowledgement

By booking a fit test, you agree to the following:

  • No Refund / No Reschedule Policy
    Once scheduled, there are no refunds or reschedules for any reason.

  • No Show / No Call
    If you miss your appointment without notice, the test is non-refundable.

  • Must Bring Your Own Mask
    We offer a limited mask sizes. We do not guarantee our stock masks will fit. Each mask will cost $5 additional to asses for fit.

  • Facial Hair / Makeup
    You must be free of facial hair and heavy makeup that could interfere with the mask seal. If you show up with facial hair that impedes the seal, you will not be tested and no refund will be provided.
